Sep 30 · Game 2 · LossSlaysome vs. Surcheros Fresh Mex
The second game was a hard-fought battle. Slaysome trailed by just one run heading into the final inning, when Surcheros strung together hits to pull away. After a long night of softball, fatigue caught up with the team, and Slaysome finished the doubleheader with a split.
Sep 16 · WinSlaysome 13 · Brew Crew PPM 3
Slaysome’s first win of the season came with a play nobody will forget. In an early inning, a line drive came straight at pitcher Roger’s face. He managed to deflect it, leaving both teams holding their breath. Then Roger spun around, gathered his senses, picked up the ball, and gunned it to second. Octi fired it to first to complete the double play.
Still wondering how he had survived that line drive, Roger stayed in the game and pitched his best outing of the season. Behind him, the outfield and infield were outstanding. With errors kept to a minimum, Slaysome put together a 13–3 win over Brew Crew PPM—and made that first victory all the sweeter.
Sep 02 · LossSlaysome vs. Hobbit Hoagies
Slaysome fell to last year’s champions, Hobbit Hoagies, who were hitting everything. A tough night, but we’ll keep working and get better.
